NAWABSHAH: Goods train escapes accident

NAWABSHAH, Nov 1: A goods train, coming from Karachi, escaped an accident after it was stopped between Nawabshah and Sarhari railway stations on Monday.

A railway official told this correspondent that the train was stopped at 9:30am after the railway track was found broken. The track was opened for traffic after it was repaired.

The AEN, railway, was not available for comment and it was said that he had gone for inspection.

ARREST DEMANDED: Residents of Asif Colony held a protest demonstration on the Nawabshah-Sanghar link road here on Monday against the B-Section police for their failure to arrest killers of one Manzoor Arain.

Manzoor Arain had allegedly been killed on Friday by Ashfaq Arain, brother-in-law of his younger brother Shakoor Arain, Abdul Rasheed and an unidentified person.
