HYDERABAD: HDA employees demand dues
HYDERABAD, Nov 7: Employees of the Hyderabad Development Authority, under the banner of the Employees' Action Committee, held a demonstration outside the press club here on Saturday in suffer of their demands.
They alleged that office-bearers of the CBA union were in league with the management.
Speaking on the occasion, action committee general- secretary Insaf Ali Baloch and senior joint secretary Mohammad Aslam Abbasi demanded that the HDA administration should clear dues of the employees.
They warned that if the employees were not paid their salaries, including overtime for April and July, they would observe a hunger strike outside the Hyderabad Press Club which would continue even on Eid day.
HDA: The director, planning and development control, HDA, has notified that some individuals and companies are disposing of plots illegally without approval of the HDA.
He identified these schemes as Diamond City Housing Scheme, Shahbaz Trucks Stand, Bilal Town Housing Scheme, Indus Town Housing Scheme, Asad Town and Faisal Town.
DEMONSTRATION: A large number of employees of the Qasimabad Taluka Council held a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Saturday against the alleged highhandedness of one Mohammad Din Chang.
Talking to the protesters, workers' union (CBA) leaders Imam Bux Bhatti, Mohammad Ashraf Chandio, Santo Nando, Preetam and others alleged that Mr Chang had barged into the taluka council office and tortured messenger Ali. They said the accused had also threatened other employees with dire consequences. They demanded arrest of Mr Chang.
