GUJRAT: Licences of 7 drug shops cancelled

GUJRAT, Nov 10: A drug court has cancelled the licences of seven shops on the charge of violating the Drug Act and selling spurious drugs, Dawn learnt reliably here on Wednesday.

Sources in the health department claimed that a drug inspector had sent the cases to the court for selling spurious drugs and committing other irregularities.

The shops included Quetta Medical Store and Saeed Medical Store in Gujrat, Ilyas Medical Store and Al Hafiz Medical Store in Lalamusa, ARB Medical Store and New Punjab Medical Store in Dinga and Rafi Medical Store in Sarai Alamgir.

FORGERY: Civil Lines police have registered a case against seven newly recruited constables for presenting forged matriculation certificates to get job.

They are; Sajjad, Amir, Naveed, Arshad, Irfan, Adil and Irfan Ali.

ROBBERY: Robbers looted passengers of a Hiace, a house and snatched a car in three different strikes.

Five highway robbers intercepted a Hiace near Bidar Marjan and snatched cash and other valuables from the passengers.

Four robbers entered the house of goldsmith Mukhtiar in Panjan Kissana village and decamped with cash and jewellery worth over Rs500,000.Three gunmen deprived Shabbar of his car (GTF-95) in Kharian.
