MULTAN: Judges discuss ways to cut delay in decisions

MULTAN, Dec 18: Judges of courts from several districts on Saturday assembled here at a one-day workshop to discuss and exchange views on how to reduce delay in deciding cases.

Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa of the Lahore High Court chaired the workshop that was organized by the Federal Judicial Academy, Islamabad, and the LHC in collaboration with the C'wealth Judicial Education Institute, Halifax (Canada).

FJA Director-General Chaudhry Hassan Nawaz and LHC Member Inspection Team Chaudhry Khalil Ahmad were prominent among the participants.

Sessions judges, additional district and sessions judges and senior civil judges from Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Sahiwal, Lodhran, Khanewal, Rajanpur, Pakpattan, Layyah, Chichawatni, and Toba Tek Singh also attended the workshop. Three groups of the judges were formed and each of them discussed the matter in depth and presented their recommendations.

Justice Khosa concluded the workshop with his address and enlightened the participants on his idea about how to reduce delay in deciding cases with the sole objective of dispensing justice to the people.-APP
