SARGODHA: Certificates found fake after years
SARGODHA, March 6: Six employee of the health department, who were interrogated for corruption of million of rupees, had been recruited more than a decade ago on spurious credentials, an investigating team learnt.
Health officials Hassan Raza, Murad Khan, Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Rafiq, Waqar Aslam and Awais Ahmad allegedly made fake entries in stock registers and other documents and appropriated millions of rupees during their posting in the District Headquarters Hospital and other offices.
On receiving complaints, the department assisted by a team of an intelligence agency interrogated them and learnt that they were recruited after producing forged secondary school certificates.
The inquiry team has directed the health department to suspend the officials from service and recover all benefits, including various allowances, they had availed themselves during their service.
Police fail: Police have so far failed to find a clue to the killers of a local fruit and vegetable market trader who was murdered some three days ago. However, an investigation team has been set up under the supervision of the SP investigation and directed to ensure completion of the investigation within 12 days and submit a report.
Meanwhile, a police post with one ASI and six constables started its functioning in the market on Sunday. For the purpose, two rooms have been provided by the traders. Moreover, motorcycle squad will continue patrolling along the route to the vegetable market from morning prayers till 4pm.
Traders of various commercial centres have expressed their anguish over the police failure to arrest the culprits.
