SUKKUR: Nationalist party launches poll campaign

SUKKUR, April 27: Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party chief Qadir Magsi said on Wednesday that the division of Hyderabad into four districts was aimed at creating discord among sections of people of Sindh. Speaking at a press conference here, Dr Magsi, who is also provincial president of PONM, said people must forge unity in their ranks and vote for nationalists because only nationalists could protect their rights.

He claimed that people of the province suffered numerous hardships in the past for sending insincere people to parliament who did nothing for the betterment of masses.

Criticizing the 1973 Constitution, Dr Magsi said since the constitution did not guarantee provincial rights, his party was against it. He said his party would take part in the local bodies elections, and asked people to vote for true nationalists. He also criticized the Sindh government and said it had failed to deliver.
