‘Benazir can steer country out of crises’

LAHORE, March 12: PPP acting secretary-general Raza Rabbani says Ms Benazir Bhutto alone is in a position to steer the country out of the present crises.

Speaking at a seminar at the Lahore Press Club on Tuesday, he said the PPP chairperson was the symbol of the federation and could safeguard the interests of the country. In case she was disallowed to come back, he warned, the federation could be in danger.

The federating units, Mr Rabbani said, faced a sense of deprivation which the PPP chairperson was in a better position to remove.

He said Ms Bhutto was watchful of the international developments and could resolve the Kashmir dispute.
