The workers who carried banners and placards started from Abbottabad road and reached the district council hall after marching through various roads, where it culminated in the form of a public meeting.

The speakers on occasion alleged that the PML-N wanted to `create anarchy in the country`.

Our Correspondent from Lakki Marwat adds PPP workers took out a rally and held a demonstration on Saturday against the damage done to the memorial of Benazir Bhutto by the workers of PML-N. A local party leader, Sher Ali Khan, led the rally, which assembled at Kargil chowk. The protesters carried party flags and chanted slogans against the PML-N leadership.

Speakers said that the PPP and President Asif Ali Zardari had no role in the disqualification of Sharif brothers. They alleged that Sharif brothers had started `hatching conspiracies` against democracy after they were disqualified by the Supreme Court.

They said that the country was facing threats on several fronts and the PML-N leadership should extend its support to the government instead of indulging in confrontation.
