SUKKUR: Villagers kill factory guard

SUKKUR, June 30: A guard of a chemical factory was killed and one of his colleagues injured when armed men opened fire at them in Daharki on Saturday.

The deceased, Atta Muhammed Bhayo, was posted at the pumping station of the Engro Chemicals.

His injured colleague, Chachar Samijo, was taken to a hospital in Rahimyar Khan where his condition was stated to be serious.

On Friday, the deceased had killed a dog, belonging to one, Abdul Haq, a resident of a nearby village, which had infuriated the villagers.

Police said the attack might have coincided with the incident.

A case has been registered against Abdul Haq and two other villagers, Abdul Wahab and Abdul Ali.

No arrest was reported till the filing of this report.
