Chief Justice urged to take suo motu notice of missing man

QUETTA, April 19 A Quetta resident appealed to Chief Justice Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry to take notice of disappearance of his elder brother.

Addressing a press conference at the press club on Sunday, Zahid Kakar claimed that DSP Khalid Manzoor of the Quaidabad police station had come to their house two weeks ago and asked his brother Yasin Kakar, an employee of the agriculture department, to report to the police station.

According to him, the DSP again called his brother on Saturday, asking him to come to the police station.

He went to the police station but did not return home till evening. Zahid Kakar said when he contacted police officials, they said they had neither summoned Yasin nor they were aware of his whereabouts.

When the matter was reported to CCPO Hamayun Jogezai he also expressed ignorance and asked them to contact the DIG.

Mr Kakar appealed to the Chief Justice to take notice of the attitude of the police officials because his brother`s life was under threat.
