SAHIWAL, May 3 A windstorm hit Sahiwal city and adjoining areas on Sunday evening, disrupting electricity system and causing fire at three different places.

In the first incident, fire erupted in a printer's shop in Arifwala Chowk here. Some chemicals lying at S.S. Printers caught fire which later engulfed the whole shop.

In the second incident, fire erupted in Riaz Saeed's cotton factory in Chak 187/9-L gutting stockpiles of cotton. Firefighters were busy in controlling the fire till the filing of this report.

In the third incident, fire erupted in a house in Chandni Chowk of Harrapa.

The Rescue 1122 said that no casualty was reported in these incidents.
