Three shot dead in Kasur

KASUR, June 16 Three people, including a woman, were shot dead in separate incidents on Tuesday.

In the first incident, Amjad Ali shot dead his cousin Shakeela, 20, allegedly to preserve his honour in Nathokey village in Raiwind Sadar police precincts. Amjad suspected that Shakeela had an affair with someone.

He told his cousin to mend her ways, but she did not, instigating him to take the extreme step.

In the second case, Muhammad Iqbal allegedly shot Mehrban dead over an old enmity in Bahgeewal village in Allahabad police precincts.

In another incident, Yasir and his accomplices allegedly shot Arshad Ali dead over a monetary dispute while he was sleeping at his outhouse in Orara village in Kasur Sadar police limits on Monday night.

The family found him lying dead next morning. Owing to villagers' bid to effect reconciliation between the rival parties, the body could not be sent for an autopsy till afternoon. However, later the police intervened and sent the body to DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
