Ammunition seized

QUETTA, July 11: Kharan Rifles on Thursday seized ammunition, including anti-tank mines and anti-aircraft shells, near Afghan border in Chaghai district.

The ammunition was smuggled into Pakistan from Afghanistan for terrorist activities, Kharan Rifles Commandant Col Pir Sadiq Shah told this correspondent.

The troops raided a place near the border on the basis of a tip-off and seized ammunition hidden underground.

They seized 26 anti-tank mines, 55 shells of anti-aircraft gun, 235 rounds of 14mm gun, 580 rounds of 7mm gun, 80 rounds of 12.7mm, and 10 fuses. No arrest was reported.
