18 Tajiks shifted to Kohat prison
KOHAT, July 9 The 18 Tajiks held during operation in Akhorwal area of Darra Adamkhel were shifted to Kohat prison on Thursday.
The 18 Afghan Tajiks were arrested from a house a few days back by the security forces and kept in an investigation cell for interrogation.
However, they were handed over to the political administration of the Frontier Region of Kohat for necessary legal action.
The assistant political agent sent all of them to Kohat prison under 40 Frontier Crimes Regulations and Foreign Act.
Meanwhile, 15 more prisoners held responsible for riots in the district prison were sent to Bannu central prison. Earlier, four Taliban who manhandled a policeman inside the prison were shifted to D. I. Khan prison.
HAJ DRAW Three low-grade employees of the district were picked through a draw for performing hajj at the government expense by the district nazim on Thursday.
District Nazim Gohar Saifullah Khan who performed the draw at his residence said that 13 employees from grade 1 to grade 11 were selected by all the departments in a separate draw. The employees included peons, naib qasids, junior clerks, office assistants, teachers and instructors etc.
Their names were forwarded to him for the final draw in which Iftikhar Ahmed Khan of district coordination office, Taj Mohammad Khan of district revenue office and Ali Marjan of agriculture department were declared as lucky ones to perform hajj this year on the government expenses.
The ceremony was also attended by Executive District Officer (education) Imtiaz ul Haq.
