Wapda claim men`s team badminton crown

LAHORE, July 22 Wapda won the men's team title, defeating National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) 3-1 in the final of the Amir Abdullah Khan Ranking badminton tournament here on Wednesday.

Top seed Wajid Ali (Wapda) bt Murad Ali in the first singles.

Rizwan Azam-Kashif Sulehri of the NBP, however, levelled the score, bting Wajid Ali-Waqas in the doubles.

But from there on Wapda dominated as Umar Zeeshan defeated Rizwan to make it 2-1.

Imran and Rizwan also won the reserves doubles defeating Ijaz and Murad to win the title.
