Musharraf stays away from `trouble`

ISLAMABAD, Aug 3 Former president Gen (retired) Pervez Musharraf does not intend, at least for the time being, to return home, probably to avoid creating an unfavorable situation for himself.

This was stated by senior Pakistan Muslim League (PML) leader Senator S.M. Zafar while talking to reporters in the Parliament House on Monday.

Mr Zafar, who recently held a detailed meeting with his former mentor in London, told a questioner that he had exchanged views on country's political situation and other matters relating to Musharraf's possible trial.

He said he had returned after a month long private visit abroad and shared his engagements with the party president, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

In one of informal meetings with Gen Musharraf, he said he got the impression that the ex-military dictator would not like to return home for the time being.
