Kaira on Musharraf case

LAHORE, Aug. 12 The government will follow the court whatever it decides in former army ruler Pervez Musharrafs case.

Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said this while talking to mediapersons after a seminar held at the Allama Iqbal Medical College here on Wednesday. The federal minister said that all citizens had the right to get registered cases against their grievances.

Asked if the government would arrest Musharraf on his return home in the judges' detention case, he said it would be too early to say anything about it. “However, it depends upon the investigation, evidences needed by investigators and whether they need his physical presence”, he added.

Replying to a question, the minister said the PPP believed in politics of reconciliation and it had removed the army dictator through dialogues and in a peaceful manner because the country could not have afforded any agitation. — Staff Reporter
