Man stabbed to death in Charsadda

CHARSADDA, May 9 A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his cousin over a minor dispute in Gandheri area of Tangi here on Sunday.

A brother of the slain man, Bakhtawar Shah, told the police that Bakhtawar and Hassan Mohammad exchanged harsh words over who should use the wheat thresher machine first.

He said the infuriated Hassan stabbed Bakhtawar wounding him seriously. The injured man succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

He lodged a report in the local police station and nominated his cousin Hassan Mohammad in the FIR.

ENHANCED SECURITY The Malgari Doctoran, a doctors' body affiliated with the Awami National Party, and the paramedical staff of district health department on Sunday demanded enhanced security and protection to health workers.

The demand was made at a meeting presided over by its vice-president Dr Ameen Khattak and attended by a large number of doctors and health workers.—Correspondent
