SUKKUR: Villagers kill bandit

SUKKUR, Aug 25: An unidentified dacoit was killed and two villagers were injured in an exchange of fire between the villagers and dacoits near a village, Jarwar, in Ghotki district on Friday evening.

Ali Murad, a villager, was coming from Mirpur Mathelo to his village on a motorcycle, when he reached near Jarwar some unidentified dacoits intercepted him and tried to snatch his motorcycle, a villager rushed to the spot to help him and an exchange of fire took place, as a result Shahjahan Lund and Aziz Lund were injured while a dacoit was killed.

The police were investigating and no one was arrested.

CLASH: Two people, including a woman, were injured in a clash between Maher and Jatoi tribes in village Budh near Chak, district Shikarpur on other day.

Sources said the dispute erupted over attempts to catch fish from a fish farm.
