Sialkot killings: a barbaric incident

I WAS watching the news about the flood crisis in Pakistan when suddenly the brutal killings of two Sialkot brothers were aired on TV and I was in a state of shock.

I was thinking that what I just saw was something that happened in Ramadan. It was horrifying to know how the innocent brothers were beaten to death for no reason.

The elder brother Moghees was Hafiz-e-Quran and was leading Taraveeh prayers in a nearby mosque in Sialkot. They belonged to a respectable and religious family. Both were very good at studies. They were not criminals and were not involved in any criminal activities.

What was their fault? The whole crowd was there and nobody stepped up to stop that ridiculous inhuman act of immortality.

People were busy in making videos but nobody felt pity on those boys. Both were killed in the presence of police officials in public.

The culprits can easily be identified on those video tapes and the government should take serious action against them.

I request the media please do not repeat that footage on TV in every bulletin as it is painful for the family of the victims as well as for the nation to watch that dreadful act again and again. I feel terrible when I think of the brothers' family and their irreplaceable loss.

In an interview, the grandfather of the victims said that even butchers do not sacrifice animals in the manner these men had killed his grandsons. Parents of the victims are waiting for justice.

May the Almighty rest those innocent souls in peace in heaven and give their family the patience and provide them justice. Aameen
