SWABI, Sept 7: Residents of Bamkhel and adjoining villages on Tuesday blocked Swabi-Topi road to traffic in protest against power outages and delay in construction of the road.

After announcements on loudspeakers for participation in the demonstration, people gathered in Bamkhel bazaar and marched up to the Swabi-Topi road, blocking it to traffic near Bamkhel police checkpost.

The protesters said that frequent power outages, including at Sehr and Iftar timing, had made their life miserable. — Correspondent
