Birth of `Sindhu` brings joy to IDPs

BADIN, Sept 13 A function was held here on Sunday in the relief camp No 26 at Sindhi Primary School to name a baby girl on her sixth day of birth.

The function was organised by the National Commission for Human Development, which had adopted the camp and providing food, healthcare facilities to all 64 families numbering 346 displaced persons .The function heralded with the traditional songs on sounds of drums.

A group of local women singers headed by Faizan Qambrani performed folk dances and rendered popular marriage songs in chorus and received a good response from the audience.

The IDPs, who could do little to celebrate Eid, enjoyed the event and shrugged off sorrows for few hours on the second day of Eid.

The child, born to Ms Azizan, was named “Sindhu” the nomenclature of River Indus among people of Sindh.We chose the name of our child Sindhu as a mark of love with River Indus and we are pleased that Almighty Allah showered His Blessings on us with a daughter, said a happy Azizan with husband Ali Mohammad Samejo standing beside her.
