MINGORA, Nov 20: Five militants were killed in exchange of fire with security forces in restive Swat valley on Saturday.

Official sources said that security forces on tip off cordoned off the mountainous Maina village near Tootano Bandai in Kabal tehsil and started search.

During the search operation, security forces exchanged fire with militants, they said. They added that five suspected militants including Osman, Khurshid and Abdul Wadood were killed during the operation.

Sources said that security forces also seized arms and ammunitions from militants. The search operation was continued till late night.
