PTI organises anti-govt rally in Mardan

MARDAN, Nov 28: The Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf on Sunday organised a protest procession against ‘bad’ governance, price hike, unemployment and deteriorating law and order situation in the country.

The protest procession led by the PTI provincial president Asad Qaisar, provincial general secretary Shah Farman and district organiser Atif Khan, started from college chowk and converted into a public gathering at the Pakistan chowk after passing through various bazaars.

Addressing participants, the PTI leaders said the incumbent federal and provincial governments had failed to deliver according to the wishes and expectations of the people.

They criticised the policies of the rulers, saying that the government was increasing the prices of petroleum products, electricity and food items with each passing day without caring for the miserable condition the common man was already in.

The PTI leaders alleged that most of the high profile corrupt personalities had joined the present government to loot innocent people.

They lamented that the Religious Affairs Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi who allegedly embezzled billions of rupees in the Haj scam could not be taken to task.—Correspondent
