US drone attacks counter-productive: Gilani

MULTAN: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday condemned US drone attacks, stating them counterproductive.

The prime minister said that the drone attacks were increasing Pakistan's problems instead of solving them and that the US should pass over the drone technology to Pakistan.

Speaking to the media in Multan, Gilani said that the Baloch people were patriotic Pakistanis and that the government did not want any innocent person to be get punished. Talking about Shah Zain Bugti's arrest, the prime minister said that the case was being investigated and that the government did not believe in revenge politics and does not arrest anyone on political motives.
