49 uplift schemes for Attock district approved
ATTOCK, Dec 26: The Local Government and Community Development department has invited tenders for 49 development schemes, costing Rs40.9 million.
The provincial government has approved the schemes on the recommendations of five MPAs from Attock district under the Punjab Development Programme 2010-11, it has been learnt.
Spending Rs7.97 million, nine development schemes will be started in the PP-15 (Attock-1) constituency of Pakistan People’s Party’s MPA, Malik Shahan Khan. The schemes include rehabilitation of roads, construction of streets and boundary wall around graveyard in Bolianwal village.
Around Rs8 million have been approved for construction of streets and rehabilitation of roads, especially Nartupa-Bangi Road in Hazro, in PP-16 (Attock-II) constituency of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s MPA Col (retired) Shujah Khanzada.
In PP-17 (Attock-III) constituency of MPA Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan, who has recently joined PML-N, Rs9 million will be spent on 14 development schemes, including construction of sewerage system in Kot Fateh Khan village.
Costing Rs8 million nine development schemes including construction of streets, paths, drains and rehabilitation of Kamra village link road in Pindigheb tehsil had been approved in PP-18 (Attock-IV) constituency of PPP’s MPA Malik Khurram Ali Khan.
Similarly nine development project costing Rs7.95 million in PP-19(Attock-V) constituency of forward bloc’s MPA Capt (retired) Malik Itabar Ali khan include construction of paths, streets and sewerage nullah in Jand tehsil’s Thatta village.
Work on these schemes is expected to start in February next year.
