Three killed in Wana IED blast

WANA, Jan 5: Three persons were killed when their vehicle hit a roadside improvised explosive device in Shakai tehsil of South Waziristan Agency on Wednesday afternoon, official sources said.

They said that two brothers, Asghar Khan and Himayat Khan, along with their cousin, Anwar Khan, were one their way to the Wana bazaar when their vehicle hit an IED near Badragai village in tehsil Shaki at around 4pm.

All the dead belonged to Spairkai sub-tribe of Wazir. The vehicle was completely destroyed, the officials added. —Correspondent
