PARACHINAR/KALAYA, Jan 20: Three persons were killed in a landmine blast in Kurram Agency while a security man was shot dead by militants in Orakzai tribal region on Thursday.

Sources said that three persons were killed and another was injured when a tractor trolley struck against a landmine in Gram village of upper Kurram. The tractor trolley was completely destroyed in the blast. The injured was shifted to the agency headquarters hospital in Parachinar.

In Orakzai Agency, militants shot dead an official of Levies Force. The security man identified as Ali Nabi was waiting for transport outside his home in Zawoon Kallay when armed men travelling in a vehicle opened firing on him.

He was killed on the spot while the assailants managed to escape.
