Hyderabad decorated for Eid Milad

HYDERABAD, Feb 15: The entire city has been decorated with coloured lights and buntings of various colours on the eve of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) being celebrated on Wednesday.

About 2,000 policemen have been deployed for the security of people taking part in processions which will be taken out from different areas.

All processions would culminate at Kohinoor Chowk where leaders of religious parties would address them on the importance of this day.

Police held a flag march led by DPO Hyderabad Munir Ahmed Sheikh. The flag march passed through Station Road, Latifabad, Hussainabad, Qasimabad. Personnel of Rangers also took part in the march.

A police announcement said that display of arms and pillion riding had been banned for three days from Tuesday on the directives of the Sindh government.

The main route of the procession will fenced with barbed wires and monitored through close-circuit TVs.
