LAHORE, Feb 18: Health Secretary Fawad Hasan Fawad has ordered immediate suspension of six executive district officers and transfer of seven others for their poor performance and dereliction of duty during the recent anti-polio campaign, says a handout issued here on Friday.

According to a notification issued by the health department, Lodhran EDO (health) Dr Asif Ali Kazmi, Okara EDO (health) Dr Muhammad Irshad, Rajanpur EDO (health) Dr Sibghatullah Qureshi, Jhang EDO (health) Dr Zafar Abbas Khan, Toba Tek Singh EDO (health) Dr Syed Masood Iqbal and Bahawalnagar EDO (health) Dr Rana Muhammad Rafiq have been suspended.

Also, the health secretary transferred Bahawalpur EDO (health) Dr Ahsanullah Warraich and posted him in the same position in Lodhran. Dr Tanvir Ahmed, who was awaiting posting, was posted Okara EDO (health).

Dr Khalid Islam, chief chemical examiner in Rawalpindi, has been transferred and posted EDO (health) in Jhang. Dr Aslam Hameed of Lahore’s Lady Willingdon Hospital has been posted EDO (health) in Toba Tek Singh. Dr Khalid Majeed, medical superintendent of the Narowal district headquarters hospital, has been transferred and posted EDO (health) in Bahawalnagar.

Multan EDO (health) Dr Syed Islam Zafar has been transferred and directed to report to the health department. Dr Inamul Haq has been transferred from Jinnah Hospital and posted EDO (health) in Multan. Hafizabad EDO (health) Dr Ashraf Javed has been transferred and directed to report to the health department. Dr Aslam Randhawa, Kasur EDO (health), has been transferred and directed to report to the health department.

Dr Hamid Mehmood has been transferred from the Punjab Institute of Cardiology and posted EDO (health) in Kasur. Mianwali EDO (health) Dr Naseer Ahmed has been transferred and posted programme director of DHDC in Jhelum. Dr Malik Ibadat Khan has been transferred from Attock district headquarters hospital and posted EDO (health) in Mianwali.

Rahim Yar Khan EDO (health) Dr Fayaz Hussain has been transferred and directed to report to the health department. DrMuhammad Jamil, who was awaiting posting, has been posted EDO (health) in Rahim Yar Khan. Sahiwal EDO (health) Dr Muhammad Abbas Qari has been directed to report to the health department. Dr Shamsur Rehman has been transferred from Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi and posted EDO (health) in Sahiwal.

Dr Javed Umer, director of Health Services in Bahawalpur division, has been transferred and posted EDO (health) in Faisalabad, relieving Faisalabad Health Services director Dr Rashid Ahmed of the additional charge of the post.

Medical Superintendent of Pasrur tehsil headquarters hospital Dr Arshad Ali Bajwa has been transferred and posted director of Health Services in Bahawalpur. Dr Bajwa will also have the additional charge of the EDO (health) in Bahawalpur. Dr Muhammad Sharif, additional principal medical officer at the Chunian tehsil hospital, has been transferred and posted to a vacant post of the district health officer in Chiniot. Bahawalpur DHDC programme director Dr Saeed Asghar has been transferred and posted district health officer in Bahawalpur. He will also have the additional charge of the programme director.

Lahore General Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Salahuddin Khan has been transferred and posted medical superintendent of Government Mian Nawaz Sharif Hospital at Yakki Gate. Dr Zafar Ikram, who was awaiting posting, has been made medical superintendent of Lahore General Hospital.
