Two hockey players join PML-N

LAHORE, March 1: The current and a former captain of the Pakistan hockey team have announced joining the Pakistan Muslim League-N after holding a meeting with the party head, Nawaz Sharif, here on Tuesday.

Talking to reporters, the national hockey team captain Zeeshan Ashraf said he had a great faith in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and considered him the only leader having the ability to steer the nation out of the crises it was faced with. He said hockey was his passion and he would continue to play the game besides playing a 'political role'.

Zeeshan, who is from Quetta, could not get a permanent job and presently works on a contract basis with the National Bank of Pakistan.

He said he could not get a regular job despite leading the national team that won the gold medal in the last Asian Games in China. Sports Reporter
