NAWABSHAH: Surgeons remove 10kg abdominal tumour
NAWABSHAH, Oct 10: A tumour, weighing 10 kilogrammes, was removed from the abdomen of a 64-year-old patient, Noor-un-Nisa, at the People’s Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah on Wednesday.
Surgeon Noor Muhammad Khaskheli, surgeon Farkhanda Jabeen Dahri, and Tufail of the surgical ward performed the operation. The tumour was later sent for biopsy.
ROBBERY BID: The Nawabshah police saved the passengers of a bus from being robbed on the National Highway on Tuesday morning.
Nine armed dacoits intercepted a bus, which was headed towards Karachi from Peshawar, near the Nawab Wali Mohammad village, Qazi Ahmed, on the National Highway. As soon as the bus stopped, the dacoits embarked on it.
The dacoits then asked the driver to take the bus towards the Ramzan Rahu link road. By the time the bus arrived there, a police mobile belonging to the Nawab Wali Mohammad police post was already waiting there.
Both the police and the dacoits started firing on one another. However, the dacoits soon gave up and escaped from the scene.
No FIR had been lodged till the filing of this report.
