Scarcity of water in Pasni
PASNI, a coastal city of Balochistan, has a population of 100,000 people. However, it is facing a huge scarcity of water.According to an estimate of the Public Health Department, the city requires 1.5 million gallons of water for its daily needs. But the city is being supplied less than 0.1 million gallon a day.
This substandard water is spreading diseases like diarrhoea, gastroenteritis and hepatitis.
The tanker mafia makes good use of all this. It sells water at whatever rates it desires, thus fleecing the poor citizens. The government should take urgent measures to resolve the water crisis.
