KHAIRPUR: 200 activists booked
KHAIRPUR, Oct 13: At least 200 workers of various political parties have been booked by the police for election-related clashes in the district where 30 people including Begum Gulzar Unnar and four other women were injured.
Three cases have been registered at the Kot Diji police station, while two cases each have been registered at the Pir Jo Goth, Ahmedpur, Bradi Jatoi, Tando Masti, and Gambat police stations.
Mohammad Hashim Khaskheli, a PPP worker, has registered an FIR with the Kot Diji police that Wadera Ghulam Rasool Dharejo, Zulfiqar Ali, Siddique, Amanullah, Farooq, Owais and other PML(F) workers attacked PPP workers as a result of which five people including three women were injured.
A worker of the PML(F), Shahnawaz, has lodged an FIR at the Tando Masti police station that Ali Raza, Ghulam Haider, Rafique, Ibrahim and other PPP workers attacked the vehicle of Abdul Sami Bhand as a result of which Begum Gulzar Unnar of the PML(F) was injured.
A PML(F) worker, Abdul Sami Bhand, has lodged a case against 20 workers of the PPP including Mukhtiar Jatoi, Ali Hassan, Imam Din, and Basheer Idrees with the Tando Masti police for damaging a car (E-0010).
Two separate cases have been registered with the Ahmedpur police by a PPP leader, Syed Ali Gohar Shah Rashidi (son of Pir Pagaro), alleging that 66 people including Khadim Mirani, Union Cpiouncil Nazim Bhatiyoon, Anwar Kanhar, Union Council Nazim Noorpur, Faqir Ghulam Qadir Panhar, Aslam, and other people tried to snatch his vehicle and also opened fire as a result of which a PPP worker, Shaukat Bhand, was injured.
