US condemns Charsadda attack

ISLAMABAD: The United States on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Charsadda, which killed more than 10 people and wounded several others.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims,” said a US Embassy statement.

“Yet again, Pakistani citizens and Pakistan's democracy have been viciously attacked by terrorists who have no respect for the norms of civilization,” the statement said.

“The United States stands with Pakistan for a peaceful and prosperous future, free from the threat of violent extremism,” the statement added.
