Turbat: lack of exam hall
THE education sector in Pakistan faces several problems owing to the lack of funds. The issuance of funds for education is just 1.2 per cent of the GDP. What is surprising is that the government is willing to reduce it rather than increasing the grants for education. As a result, educational institutions are deprived of basic facilities. Attashad Degree College, Turbat, is also facing many problems due to paucity of funds. Among these problems is lack of an examination hall which is desperately needed since intermediate examinations start from April 25.The college has almost 1,600 intermediate students, but there is no examination hall for them because of which the classes for graduate studies are used for the purpose of examinations. It disturbs these classes.
I would like to request the authorities concerned and the education minister to issue funds for building an examination hall for the college.
