Briefing the district Nazim Raja Tariq Kiani on the proposed investment, he said, due to the investment around 5,000 jobs would be created in the district.

He said the areas of interest identified by the consortium of industrialists included biscuit manufacturing, telecommunications and computer productions.

The group has already started work on setting up of a biscuit manufacturing plant in the district.

The district Nazim assured the BoI chief that the group would be fully facilitated and provided with administrative support. Necessary infrastructure would be made available to them, he added.
