Football referees’ elections held

KARACHI, May 10: Qazi Mohammad Asif has been elected president for the fifth time while Ahmed Ali secretary for the second time in the Pakistan Football Referees Association (PFRA) elections, held at the Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) FIFA House in Lahore on Tuesday.

According to a PFF press release, the new PFRA General Council was formed with all the candidates getting elected unopposed for the next four years (2011-2015).

Qazi Mohammad Asif of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) named president, Mian Abdul Bari of Punjab the senior vice president, Mohammad Shafique of Balochistan the vice president, Ahmed Ali of Sindh the general secretary, Chaudhry Mohammad Sharif of Islamabad the associate secretary and Mohammad Saleem Khan of KP the treasurer along with members Qamar Yar Khan (Sindh) and Irshad Qureshi (Punjab).
