Hangu attack toll rises to 36

KOHAT, May 27: The death toll in Thursday's suicide attack at Hangu bazaar rose to 36 with eight people succumbing to their injuries on Friday.

The toll was confirmed by Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian organisation engaged in treating the victims at the district headquarters hospital here.

The FIR of the suicide car bombing has been lodged against unidentified terrorists with the City police station under various sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act, Explosives Act, and SAT.

Inspector-general of police, Kohat division commissioner and Kohat region DIG visited the hospital and inquired after the injured.

The people who lost their lives in the attack were buried in different areas of Hangu. The three policemen killed in the attack were laid to rest with full official honours.
