ABBOTTABAD: Four killed in accident

ABBOTTABAD, Nov 9: Four people were killed and one was seriously injured in a road accident near Toheedabad, Nathiagali, on Friday night.

Ziaul Qamar, a resident of Malikpura, Abbottabad, and his four guests from Hangu were going to Nathiagali to see a piece of land offered for sale there.

When they reached the Kundla turn, the vehicle (Karachi- 5538) skidded off the road and fell into a deep ditch. Four people died on the spot, while another who sustained serious injuries was shifted to a hospital in Nathiagali.

Two of the dead were identified as Ziaul Qamar and Fazal Akbar of Hangu. The names of the other two victims could not be known.

When the dead and the injured were rushed to the hospital, it was lying locked. However, the staff was later called to provide first aid to the injured.

GAS SUPPLY: The Sui gas company has disconnected the supply of gas to the District Headquarters Hospital, here, due to non-payment of dues.

The suspension of gas supply has resulted in acute problems to the patients and their attendants during Ramazan.

The hospital authorities are unable to make alternative arrangements in the wards, especially in the hospital nursery, where new-born are kept.
