Three outlaws killed in Mardan

MARDAN, Sept 20: Three proclaimed offenders were killed and four others sustained injuries in an encounter with police in Peshkandai hamlet in Rustam village some 29kms off here.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, DIG Mardan Abdullah Khan said that three proclaimed offenders wanted in cases of murder; dacoity and robberies were killed in an encounter while four others sustained injuries.

Those killed were identified as Rehman Sher, resident of Peshkandai, Shabbir Khan of Gul Bagh and Ayeem Khan of Garyala, while Anwar Ali, Wali Mohammad, Ibrar Ali and Kamran Dad received injuries in the encounter.

The police official said that seven Kalashnikovs, seven hand grenades and 1,000 cartridges were also recovered from their possession.
