Wapda destroy AJK 18-0 in women's football championship

 

ISLAMABAD: Wapda crushed Azad Jammu & Kashmir 18-0 on the second day of the 7th National Women's Championship being held at the Pakistan Sports Complex.

Wapda’s Akeela was the best player on the pitch as she scored five goals, netting them in the 12th, 38th, 47th, 49th and 64th minutes. Shabana also scored four goals in the match.

Other contributers were Rafia, who scored three goals, Azra, who also got a hat-trick, and Shakeela, Mahwish and Shugufta, who each scored one goal.

In the other matches, Higher Education Commission, Sports Sciences and Balochistan also gained victories.

Sports Sciences beat Model Town 1-0. Ishrat scored the only goal of the match in the 34th minute.

Higher Education Commission were 2-0 winners against Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa., with Riaza and Rabia getting the goals in that match.

Balochistan United WFC beat Sindh WFC 4-0. Shahida Jr. and Rifat each scored two goals to hand their team the victory.
