Bus stand to be shifted from Charsadda road

PESHAWAR, Sept 27: The government mulls shifting the bus stand at Charsadda road to the Ring Road to resolve the issue of traffic congestion on the busy road.

A meeting to discuss the matter was held at the assembly secretariat on Tuesday with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly SpeakerKaramatullah Khan Chagharmatti in the chair.

The traffic police officials and district coordination officer Peshawar briefed the speaker about the problems and suggested that the Charsadda Road bus stand should be shifted to the Ring Road to avoid the routine traffic jams on the road.

The meeting also discussed possible solution to the entry and exit points for the public service vehicles. It was informed that the traffic jams had not been caused due to the assembly sessions but due to construction of flyover on G.T. Road and security check points. —Bureau Report
