PTI mass contact drive in Swabi
SWABI, Nov 2: The Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) has kicked off a mass contact campaign to urge the people to reject the traditional political parties who ruled the country by turn only to protect their personal interests and overlooked issues facing the country.
This was stated by Asad Qaisar, chairman of the party's provincial working committee, while talking to journalists here on Wednesday. He was flanked by local leaders of PTI.
Mr Qaisar said leaders of these political parties ruled the country with the connivance of the regional parties like ANP and MQM for their own benefits and privileges.
He alleged leaders of the traditional political parties had shifted major chunks of their looted money to foreign banks while the poor people could hardly manage a two-time meal.
To a question Mr Qaisar also criticised the education system, saying many curriculums had been adopted by different educational institutions. The PTI, he said, advocated for a unified curriculum and education for all, scholarships for the poor children and increase in education budget.
He said the successive governments only paid lip service to developing the education sector because the children of the elite class acquired education either abroad or in the distinguished educational institutions of the country. He said the PTI also wanted to make changes in the domestic and foreign policies.
