Six more vessels due with urea next week

KARACHI: Three vessels, MV Grate Mary, MV Medi and MV Dubai Ambassador, carrying 120,000 tons of urea are currently unloading cargo at the Gwadar port.

Official sources said six more vessels, Lancelot, Magic Orient, Poavaosa Wisdom, Master, Ocean Galaxy and Lycavitos, carryingaround 200,000 tons of urea are also scheduled to arrive next week.

With the arrival of these ships, around 400,000 tons of urea would have landed against a total contracted quantity of 700,000tons being imported by the TCP.

The process of cargo discharge as well as lifting and transportation of urea by the National Fertilizer Marketing Ltd is under way as work is being carried out round-the-clock.

As per shipment schedule, sources said, the balance of around 326,000 tons would also arrive by the end of this month.
