STP welcomes PML-N rally in Larkana
HYDERABAD, Dec 7: A delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, led by deputy speaker of Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood Khan, met with Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party chairman Dr Qadir Magsi at the party office here on Wednesday and discussed political situation prevailing in Sindh.
The two parties agreed to launch a joint struggle for restoration of a real democracy in the country, elimination of corruption and price hike and to get rid of the corrupt and inefficient rulers.
Dr Magsi supported the PML-N for holding a public meeting at Larkana on December 10.
Speaking on the occasion, the STP chairman said the government had failed to deliver as all the institutions of the country had been destroyed and Pakistan Railways, Steel Mills and other organisations had ceased to work while the rulers had broken all corruption records.
He said the MNAs and MPAs, ministers and advisers were involved in corruption and, for their own personal economic interests, had auctioned the interests of Sindh and Pakistan and rights of the people.
He said because of the wrong policies of the rulers and rampant corruption, price hike was at its peak and it had become difficult for the poor people to keep their body and soul together. He said due to poverty and price hike, the youth were compelled to commit suicide.
He said the entire country was in the grip of crisis due to wrong economic and domestic policies of the rulers while sovereignty of the country was at stake. He said instead of resolving the problems of the masses and the country, the rulers' priority was to prolong their rule.
Whatever struggle is launched to remove the government, STP will fully support it, Dr Magsi said.
Mashhood Khan said that he had brought the message of Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif to the people and nationalists of Sindh as he had already started the struggle to get rid of the corrupt rulers.
He said PML-N was struggling to restore real democracy in the country and resolve the problems of the masses. It would support the people of Sindh on all important issues and not take any decision about the consent of the Sindhi people, he said.
He expressed his gratitude to the nationalist leadership for supporting the December 10 public meeting in Larkana.
AWAMI TEHRIK: The PML-N delegation also met with Awami Tehrik president Ayaz Latif Palijo and discussed the political situation of the country. It was decided to prepare a joint charter of demands on the prevailing situation in the country with focus on Sindh.
Later, talking to journalists, Palijo said that PML-N leaders, specially Mian Nawaz Sharif, had visited rain-affected areas in Sindh and PML-N policy about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement was quite clear.
He said people of Sindh were looking towards Sindh Progressive Nationalist Alliance (SPNA), which was the centre of their hope. He said his party would do everything possible to keep SPNA intact and added that it was his earnest desire that the nationalist parties should contest elections from the platform of the SPNA.He was hopeful that the SPNA would come up to the expectations of the people of Sindh.
