Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)

History: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is a centrist conservative party led by Nawaz Sharif.
Although twice elected as Prime Minister, his party members were criticised for widespread corruption and extrajudicial killings. In the Angus-Reid pre-election polls of 22 December 2007, the PML-N was in second place, with about 25 per cent of the vote. The party has its major shares of votes based in Punjab province.
Political Stance: The party’s stance is to provide economic stability to all the citizens of Pakistan, an order which gives Pakistanis a right to make full use of the available resources. Moreover, social equality should remain the main focus of any government or political regime and violators should be penalized for discrimination.
PML-N's political stance revolved around changing the status quo of current state of affairs by establishing a country governed in accordance with the ideologies of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal.
Current Status: It currently holds 90 seats in the National Assembly and seven seats in the Senate.
