The Tibetan new year

“Losar”, which is Tibetan for “new year”, falls on 22nd February this year and is usually a time for festivities, but some are wary to celebrate after deadly unrest and a huge security clampdown by Chinese authorities, following a wave of self-immolations by Buddhist monks and nuns.
