PM tells Jam to restore defunct dists

ROJHAN JAMALI, Dec 2: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has directed Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammed Yousaf to restore the four defunct districts of the province.

He said this while speaking to a delegation of the Balochistan Assembly members and others led by Jam Yousaf here on Monday.

The team comprised Speaker Jamal Shah Kakar, MMA parliamentary leader Maulana Abdul Wasay, MPA Jaffer Khan Mandokhel, ex-minister Saeed Ahmed Hashmi and Balochistan Chief Secretary Pervez Salim.

Sindh Minister Mian Abdul Qadir was also present on the occasion.

The premier asked the chief minister to work dedicatedly for the progress of the province and prosperity of its people irrespective of their political affiliation.

“I also belong to Balochistan that has been ignored by the previous governments. I want to bring it at par with other provinces, and I assure you every possible cooperation in this regard,” he assured the chief minister.

Mr Jamali directed the chief minister to take all important decisions with a consensus of the coalition government partners.—APP
