Displaced people of Haiti
While more than a million people displaced by the 2010 quake ended up in post-apocalyptic-like tent cities, some of the homeless disabled population landed in the near-model community of La Piste, a settlement of plywood shelters along tidy gravel lanes. However, the rare respite for the estimated 500-plus people living at the camp is coming to an end as the government moves to reclaim the land.
